The Harborview on Lake Michigan, Ascend Hotel Collection

Great location directly next to the lake with a park nearby and the marina as well as a down town area with shops and places to eat. The rooms have a great view always, whether it is the lake or the river part on the side, the room is good. Service was fast and respectful as well.

We were greeted with a warm welcome upon arrival. The front desk attendant explained everything regarding the restaurant attached for breakfast. The common areas were all clean. In the lobby they have an area to purchase food, beverages, and merchandise. There is parking on the east and west side of the building. Both lots are very busy, however the lot to the west of the building is specifically for the hotel. When we were there, on Friday night they had the patio bar open with love music and was enjoyable. The bartender was working really hard to ensure everyone was being served quickly and he had a great sense of humor. The room was well appointed, with a microwave and fridge and a very comfortable bed. The room had a lot of charging options near the bed and desk. There were multiple night lights built into the charging solutions and bathroom outlet - so no need to turn on a light in the middle of the night to use the bathroom... (The night lights can be rather bright throughout the entire room, so if you require complete darkness, it may pose a slight adjustment.). The bed was super comfortable and had great pillows. Housekeeping, does not start until mid-morning, so if you like to sleep in, it is appreciated, so they are not hanging around while trying to sleep. The location of the hotel is close to a lot of walking paths and Lake Michigan fishing. There are 2 local coffee joints, 1/2 a block and 1.5 blocks away. There are several bars and restaurants for plenty of options. I look forward to our next stay here.

We stayed here (room 522) for a relaxing weekend gateway for two nights and from the moment we stepped into the hotel we were amazed. Our room had a beautiful view of both the city and the harbor, and the scenery was truly breathtaking. The room was spotless, and there was a lovely handwritten note waiting for us. The hotel has an indoor pool and is located in the most beautiful area of Port Washington, just a one minute walk from the harbor. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, and the prices were very affordable. There are also many other restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. This place truly feels more like a five star hotel than a three star one. Considering the service we received and the overall experience, they definitely deserve five stars. The hotel and its surroundings were peaceful and quiet, which made it a perfect spot to relax and unwind from our busy life in Chicago. We enjoyed our stay so much that we hardly wanted to leave the hotel. The lady at the reception was very kind and welcoming, and we did not have a single negative thought during our stay. I believe the owners are local people who have thought of every little detail. We were very happy with our two night stay and would highly recommend this place. You can book it with your eyes closed.

We LOVED our stay here! We will definitely come back! Being right on the water was so nice. Everyone was so nice, and the rooms were beautiful! We came up from Kentucky to see the ball game and everyone treated us so friendly and sweet! We just love it here. The only thing I could mention that could be a little better is the bathroom door in the hotel room. It was a nice sliding door but it left about an inch gap you could see the other people on the toilet you're rooming with. Which we found hilarious! But I could see some people having an issue. But it's fine. Lol

We had a great stay at Harborview. The hotel was very clean, the location was perfect for walking to food and shops, and the lake view was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were welcoming and friendly from the start. Our favorite was Louie truly made us feel at home. We also loved the breakfast vouchers. We were honestly surprised by how good the breakfast was compared to a typical hotel setup. Definitely worth the few extra bucks for higher-quality food. Only small suggestion: the coffee had a bit of a burnt, funky taste. Everything else was spot on, and we’d happily stay here again. Pictures are views from room. Until next time.

Beautiful location and rooms are very nice! Overall this place is well worth it as long as you don’t have to interact much with the staff. They were generally very rude

A very enjoyable weekend getaway in Port Washington. The Harborview hotel was a great choice and was very accommodating. It is clean and modern looking on the inside . Bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was not loud nor buzzing (which is typical in most hotels ). Bathroom was very clean and the shower had some of the nicest water pressure for a hotel . Views from the top floor were great . We got to see the lake and enjoy the awesome morning views first things as we had a long walk by the lake . Hotel offers a very convenient parking lot which was helpful . One of the pleasant hotel stays I have had in a while .

Nice, clean, modern rooms. Best bathroom lighting ever! Jolene at the desk took care of us! Beautiful view of the lake from our room and everything downtown within walking distance.
